About Sikkim

Nestled in the Eastern Himalayas, Sikkim is enchanting, mystical, spiritual and adventurous, all at the same time. Rivers and glaciers, valleys and peaks, freezing waterfalls and warm springs, fragrant flowers and wild four-footers are found here in plenty and so are the warm hearths of three communities - Lepcha, Bhutia and Nepali.

This land, stretches across 7096 sq Kms, is politically classified into four districts: East, West, North and South but is actually one stretch of natural wonder. Its capital is Gangtok and lies in the East district.

The West district is a haven for adventure lovers, the North is home to alpine scenery and hot springs and the South has some of the region’s oldest monasteries.

So, no matter where you are in Sikkim, you will be on a delightful voyage of discovery.

They handled our Leh experience comprehensively, taking care of our every need, while remaining very flexible in ensuring we got the best experiences in spite of weather changes (it rained in Leh). Peter, the trek guide, was fantastic along the trek, chatty, knowledgeable about the trek area, the flora and fauna. He made good decisions on how to keep the trek experience high as the weather changed. Stenzin, our main guide at the gompas, was a fountain of knowledge. Even the drivers Egbol and Naxir, where efficient and courteous.
